Biography
Olivia Jeanne Autry
Olivia, one of a set of twins, was born in Dallas, Texas of late August 1996 to a UNT jazz musician mother and punk rocker father. From an early age, the nourishment of music ran through her veins, and she blew everyone away who heard her rich, unique voice that can range between genres of Jazz, Folk, Soul, Rock, RNB, and Blues. Shy in presence, she stands firm in her brilliance as an old soul. Her music takes the path of a storyteller, chastising the world’s atrocities and liberating the unheard.
Olivia, now a resident of Houston, Texas, has dedicated her time to a musician’s life. When she’s not at a local coffee shop creating her own songs, she’s in a studio, recording. She is classically trained with the gritty edge to shock listeners. Throughout the years, she has fine tuned her sound of a professional background vocalist with many talented artists and musicians across the country, participating in Linda Lowe’s Writers In The Round, completed Berkelee Five Week program for Jazz Voice, and she still works as an associate teacher for Tom McKinney, who has taught Beyoncé, Solange, Demi Lovato, and Scott Hoying.
Olivia has performed in televised gigs that have been aired on Good Morning America and MTV Classic. She featured with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Lauren Alaina, Joe Bonamassa, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Ellis Hall from Tower of Power, Maddie and Tae, Chris Jansen, The Four Tops, Belinda Carlisle, Debbie Gibson, The Doobie Brothers members, Elliot Easton from The Cars, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Haley Reinhart, Maxi Priest, Carmine Rojas from David Bowie, Paul hipp, Ben Jarrad, Chrissy Metz, Benton Blount, Paul Schaefer, Dennis Quaid, Sara Evans, Bob Saget, Seaside Rick, Martin Guigui’s LA All Star band, The Guigui Family Band, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Tim Montana, Richard Gerstein, Hellcats (Elton John’s band) Stevie Salas, Joey Somerville, Ed Manion, Stan Harrison, Kyla Jade, Richie La Bamba Rosenberg, Charlie Lo Presti, Phil lo Presti, Mark Pender, Heather Davis, Izzi Delan, Louis Van Veenendal, and Tal Bergman, to name a few.
At such young and nurtured age, the world is yet to witness Olivia Rutherford’s triumph, and many are already in line to do so.
